

We all know that goodbye, the one where you think on all the things you should have done, would do, if you still had time together. I now can never imagine a more difficult goodbye since coming to terms with the fact that my wonderful friends and I did everything this last year. Driving down mountain road switchbacks as the sun set, sand still stuck on the backs of my calves, Elana turned down the music to ask, “How happy is everyone right now?” We all just grinned like fools.


Decide to be compassionate around people you don’t like. They deserve some respect.
